1. The Dental Prosthetics:
a. Dental implant which are made from titanium alloys and will be replacing and acting like your original tooth root. a. Medical Contraindications – Dr. Greenway will consult with you regarding contraindication which is a specific situation in which a drug, procedure or surgery should or should not be used because it may be harmful to you.
b. Pre-Surgical Planning – Dr. Greenway and his staff will provide you with pre-surgery instructions that will help you prepare for the implant procedure as well as outpatient procedures to help you return to your home safely.
3. Surgical:
a. The actual surgery occurs in several stages and involves several procedures. Implant surgery varies from patient to patient and depends on the type of implant and condition of your jawbone.

4. Bone Quality, width and density:
a. Dr. Greenway will first evaluate your jaw bone characteristics with the implant characteristics, and second, to assess the combinations of these characteristics as to the influence on the success rate of the dental implant(s) with the identification of prognostic factors for implant survival and failure.
b. Panoramic radiographs will be taken to measure alveolar bone levels. If it is determined that bone is required before the implant restoration can proceed, Dr. Greenway will select osteoinductive bone allograft to replace and re-grow jaw bone.
5. Laboratory:
a. A dental laboratory is used for the actual dental implant prosthetic. Greenway Dental Excellence uses Iverson Dental Laboratories of Riverside, California for all their dental implant restorations. See item 1 above for type of implant restoration available.
